My love for art began at an early age. It started as something I loved to pass the time with, but as I got older art became something much more. This is when I started to be more aware of myself and what obstacles were ahead of me. I was born legally blind with congenital nystagmus. I have had to deal with this since the day I was born, all the sacrifices it took and all the struggle I had to endure because of it. Even though it can at times be challenging, art has always been my best outlet for expressing myself and my greatest relief.

Even though I had always enjoyed drawing when I was young (I was particularly fond of horses) my first experience with a variety of art was in my high school art class. My teacher had a true passion for art and showed me how to use it in a variety of ways. I got my first degree at Collins College, Arizona, thinking animation was what I truly enjoyed. Traditional animation was wonderful, but computer animation made me feel a bit out of place, I missed my pencils and paints. I'm now taking many classes in fine art at Glendale Community College, Arizona, where I continue to push myself to learn new things and strengthen the talents I have.

No matter where life takes me and while nothing may last forever, an artist I remain.

When you mentioned you were born legally blind, I thought it must have been color blind. The real blind cannot paint such beautiful paintings! The only color used in each painting may be strange but you did it well. To me it is an interesting solution for an artist with deficiency of sight.

It puts my mind at ease to use color the way I do. I don't want to struggle with it since I can't see it very well.

Thanks for saying my work is beautiful. =)
